In this two-day workshop, you will learn handbuilding and surface decorating techniques.
Day 1: Create a handbuilt ceramic plate or platter. Learn about decorative techniques like underglazing, stencil design, and sgraffito. Decorate your piece.
Day 2: Learn about glazing techniques and will glaze their work.
Slab Building Workshop
Learn how to create vessels out of ceramic slabs.
Day 1: Make a slab-built vase, a wall pocket, a pair of mugs, or a platter.
Day 2: Learn about glazing techniques and glaze your work.
Ceramic Animals Workshop
Create a handbuilt animal of your choice (real or fantastic). You might choose to focus on a single sculptural piece, or you might make an animal-themed item to use, such as a kitty-cat cell phone holder, an elephant teapot, or a piggy bank
Coiling Workshop
Learn how to make ceramic coils and create a sculpture or vessel by stacking and paddling your coils. it's fun and rhythmic, almost like drumming clay!
