TEAPOTS & TEAS
CERAMIC HANDBUILDING AND MEDICINAL TEA WORKSHOP
Do you love drinking tea? Would you like to create your own herbal tea blend to drink out of a ceramic teapot YOU MADE YOURSELF?
This 3-hour workshop includes:

Create and decorate your own, hand built ceramic teapot (and matching teacups if time permits)

Choose a glaze for your teapot.

Make your own herbal tea blend.

Instruction, Clay, Glaze, and Herbal Teas are included

Tea and Snacks will be served!
**If you have a particular issue that you’d like to treat with an herbal tea, please let me know in advance!
Bring a Date!
When: You choose a three-hour time period for your date.
Where: You arrive at my home studio (in Studio City)
What:
First, I introduce you and your date to three handbuilding techniques: pinch pots, slabs, and coiling. You can arrive knowing what type of thing you’d like to make, or be inspired on the spot.
While the clay is drying up a bit, you can take a break in the garden, where I serve you mocktails or cocktails and appetizers.
Returning to the studio, you can choose to continue building your piece or focusing on a decorative technique such as sgraffito, stenciling, or carving into the clay.
Before you leave, choose a glaze from one of my numerous test tiles.
What happens next: I bisque fire your pieces and glaze them for you. It takes a few weeks to bisque fire and then glaze fire your pieces, so I will let you know when they are ready for pick-up.
